Elmer I. is on the move. After completing his therapy with Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elmer is now able to move around the building on his own. When he came to us he was weak and required the assistance of two aides to help him get out of bed and get dressed. Elmer’s restored independence and mobility now have him smiling and waving to everyone he meets. Always with a smile!
Susie R., from Basehor, Kansas, fell at her home and fractured her hip. Susie wanted to stay close to home so family and friends could come and visit. Susie chose Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for her skilled services. Susie worked hard with her therapist Bea to accomplish her goals to return home safely.
Susie loves the outdoors, so walking was a top priority. She can’t wait to get back home to her own garden and lawn.
Good job, Susie!
Ethel H. loves to walk. When she arrived at Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, she was unable to walk without assistance. Ethel was having trouble with her balance when she stood up or tried to move around her room. Since working with our therapist, her balance has improved. Now she can walk with her walker, without assistance. She has gained the freedom to move around and enjoy the activities we provide on a daily basis.
Mrs. H.’s family is very pleased with her improvement. They stated, “We are so glad to see Mom up and moving, enjoying life again.”
